With less than 48 hours until departure, I am sure every traveler is busy answering those final preparation questions like: Do I have all the gifts I need? Should I pack one more pair of jeans, just in case? Will Joan remember to bring the passports and tickets!?! I know my entire house has become a staging area with gifts here and essential carry-on items there, my things and Molly things flowing together like some bizarre garage sale! Tonight they will all get a last sort and be packed carefully away, not to be touched again until safely in our new Japanese homes.
The excitement is peaking after so many months of anticipation and planning. I keep reminding myself to enjoy every moment, even these hectic packing moments, and hope my fellow travelers are doing the same!
